How to uninstall or remove genus2reduction software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed genus2reduction package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove genus2reduction 

Uninstall genus2reduction including dependent package

If you would like to remove genus2reduction and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove genus2reduction 
Use Purging genus2reduction

If you use with purge options to genus2reduction package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge genus2reduction 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove genus2reduction
