How to uninstall or remove gcipher software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed gcipher package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove gcipher 

Uninstall gcipher including dependent package

If you would like to remove gcipher and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove gcipher 
Use Purging gcipher

If you use with purge options to gcipher package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge gcipher 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove gcipher
