gccgo-4.7 software package provides GNU Go compiler, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gccgo-4.7
gccgo-4.7 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gccgo-4.7 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gccgo-4.7 *
You will get with gccgo-4.7 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
