freedesktop-sound-theme software package provides Transitional package for sound-theme-freedesktop, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install freedesktop-sound-theme
freedesktop-sound-theme is installed in your system.
Make ensure the freedesktop-sound-theme package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep freedesktop-sound-theme *
You will get with freedesktop-sound-theme package name, version, architecture and description in a table
