How to Install fossil software package in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

fossil software package provides DSCM with built-in wiki, http interface and server, tickets database, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install fossil 

fossil is installed in your system.

Make ensure the fossil package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fossil *

You will get with fossil package name, version, architecture and description in a table
