fortune-mod software package provides provides fortune cookies on demand, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fortune-mod
fortune-mod is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fortune-mod package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fortune-mod *
You will get with fortune-mod package name, version, architecture and description in a table
