firmware-tools-cli software package provides Scripts and tools to manage firmware and BIOS updates, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install firmware-tools-cli
firmware-tools-cli is installed in your system.
Make ensure the firmware-tools-cli package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep firmware-tools-cli *
You will get with firmware-tools-cli package name, version, architecture and description in a table
