exrtools software package provides A collection of utilities for manipulating OpenEXR images, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install exrtools
exrtools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the exrtools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep exrtools *
You will get with exrtools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
