ewf-tools software package provides collection of tools for reading and writing EWF files, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ewf-tools
ewf-tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ewf-tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ewf-tools *
You will get with ewf-tools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
