emerillon-dev software package provides map viewer for the GNOME desktop (development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install emerillon-dev
emerillon-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the emerillon-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep emerillon-dev *
You will get with emerillon-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
