emacspeak-ss software package provides Emacspeak speech servers for several synthesizers, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install emacspeak-ss
emacspeak-ss is installed in your system.
Make ensure the emacspeak-ss package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep emacspeak-ss *
You will get with emacspeak-ss package name, version, architecture and description in a table
