How to uninstall or remove ecosconfig-imx software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed ecosconfig-imx package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove ecosconfig-imx

Uninstall ecosconfig-imx including dependent package

If you would like to remove ecosconfig-imx and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ecosconfig-imx

Use Purging ecosconfig-imx

If you use with purge options to ecosconfig-imx package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge ecosconfig-imx

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ecosconfig-imx
