How to uninstall or remove drizzle-plugin-mysql-protocol software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed drizzle-plugin-mysql-protocol package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove drizzle-plugin-mysql-protocol

Uninstall drizzle-plugin-mysql-protocol including dependent package

If you would like to remove drizzle-plugin-mysql-protocol and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove drizzle-plugin-mysql-protocol

Use Purging drizzle-plugin-mysql-protocol

If you use with purge options to drizzle-plugin-mysql-protocol package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge drizzle-plugin-mysql-protocol

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove drizzle-plugin-mysql-protocol
