How to uninstall or remove docbookwiki software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed docbookwiki package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove docbookwiki

Uninstall docbookwiki including dependent package

If you would like to remove docbookwiki and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove docbookwiki

Use Purging docbookwiki

If you use with purge options to docbookwiki package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge docbookwiki

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove docbookwiki
