dist software package provides Tools for developing, maintaining and distributing software., you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dist
dist is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dist package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dist *
You will get with dist package name, version, architecture and description in a table
