How to Install dictd software package in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

dictd software package provides dictionary server, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install dictd 

dictd is installed in your system.

Make ensure the dictd package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dictd *

You will get with dictd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
