How to uninstall or remove dhcpcd software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed dhcpcd package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove dhcpcd 

Uninstall dhcpcd including dependent package

If you would like to remove dhcpcd and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove dhcpcd 
Use Purging dhcpcd

If you use with purge options to dhcpcd package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge dhcpcd 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove dhcpcd
