debdelta-doc software package provides diff and patch utilities which work with Debian packages, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install debdelta-doc
debdelta-doc is installed in your system.
Make ensure the debdelta-doc package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep debdelta-doc *
You will get with debdelta-doc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
