cvs-mailcommit software package provides Send CVS commitments via mail, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cvs-mailcommit
cvs-mailcommit is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cvs-mailcommit package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cvs-mailcommit *
You will get with cvs-mailcommit package name, version, architecture and description in a table
