countrycodes software package provides ISO 3166 country code finder (transitional dummy package), you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install countrycodes
countrycodes is installed in your system.
Make ensure the countrycodes package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep countrycodes *
You will get with countrycodes package name, version, architecture and description in a table
