console-tools-dev software package provides Development files for Linux console and font manipulation, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install console-tools-dev
console-tools-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the console-tools-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep console-tools-dev *
You will get with console-tools-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
