classmate-initramfs software package provides classmate specific initramfs settings, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install classmate-initramfs
classmate-initramfs is installed in your system.
Make ensure the classmate-initramfs package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep classmate-initramfs *
You will get with classmate-initramfs package name, version, architecture and description in a table
