cdd-dev software package provides Debian Pure Blends dummy package for upgrades from cdd-dev, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cdd-dev
cdd-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cdd-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cdd-dev *
You will get with cdd-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
