bsh-gcj software package provides Java scripting environment (BeanShell) Version 2 (native code), you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install bsh-gcj
bsh-gcj is installed in your system.
Make ensure the bsh-gcj package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep bsh-gcj *
You will get with bsh-gcj package name, version, architecture and description in a table
