apf-server software package provides Server for Active Port Forwarding, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install apf-server
apf-server is installed in your system.
Make ensure the apf-server package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep apf-server *
You will get with apf-server package name, version, architecture and description in a table
