How to Install java-compiler software package in Debian 9 (Stretch)

java-compiler software package provides virtual package provided by openjdk-8-jdk, gcj-6-jdk, gcj-jdk, gcj-5-jdk, you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install java-compiler

java-compiler is installed in your system.

Make ensure the java-compiler package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep java-compiler*

You will get with java-compiler package name, version, architecture and description in a table
