How to uninstall or remove ixp4xx-microcode software package from Debian 9 (Stretch)

You can uninstall or removes an installed ixp4xx-microcode package itself from Debian 9 (Stretch) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove ixp4xx-microcode 

Uninstall ixp4xx-microcode including dependent package

If you would like to remove ixp4xx-microcode and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ixp4xx-microcode 
Use Purging ixp4xx-microcode

If you use with purge options to ixp4xx-microcode package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge ixp4xx-microcode 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ixp4xx-microcode
