ipheth-utils software package provides USB tethering driver support utilities for the iPhone, you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ipheth-utils
ipheth-utils is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ipheth-utils package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ipheth-utils *
You will get with ipheth-utils package name, version, architecture and description in a table
