How to uninstall or remove gtk-update-icon-cache software package from Debian 9 (Stretch)

You can uninstall or removes an installed gtk-update-icon-cache package itself from Debian 9 (Stretch) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove gtk-update-icon-cache 

Uninstall gtk-update-icon-cache including dependent package

If you would like to remove gtk-update-icon-cache and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove gtk-update-icon-cache 
Use Purging gtk-update-icon-cache

If you use with purge options to gtk-update-icon-cache package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge gtk-update-icon-cache 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove gtk-update-icon-cache
