gnuais software package provides AIS receiver which uses the discriminator output of VHF receivers, you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnuais
gnuais is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnuais package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnuais *
You will get with gnuais package name, version, architecture and description in a table
