gir1.2-mate-panel software package provides GObject introspection data for MATE panel, you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gir1.2-mate-panel
gir1.2-mate-panel is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gir1.2-mate-panel package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gir1.2-mate-panel *
You will get with gir1.2-mate-panel package name, version, architecture and description in a table
