elpa-rainbow-mode software package provides colorize color names in buffers, you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install elpa-rainbow-mode
elpa-rainbow-mode is installed in your system.
Make ensure the elpa-rainbow-mode package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep elpa-rainbow-mode *
You will get with elpa-rainbow-mode package name, version, architecture and description in a table
