cross-config software package provides autotools support for cross-compilation, you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cross-config
cross-config is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cross-config package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cross-config *
You will get with cross-config package name, version, architecture and description in a table
