ceilometer-api software package provides OpenStack efficient metering counters system (API service), you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ceilometer-api
ceilometer-api is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ceilometer-api package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ceilometer-api *
You will get with ceilometer-api package name, version, architecture and description in a table
