browser-plugin-evince software package provides plugin for web browsers to display documents (PostScript, PDF, ?), you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install browser-plugin-evince
browser-plugin-evince is installed in your system.
Make ensure the browser-plugin-evince package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep browser-plugin-evince *
You will get with browser-plugin-evince package name, version, architecture and description in a table
