liblockdev1 software package provides Run-time shared library for locking devices, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install liblockdev1
liblockdev1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the liblockdev1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep liblockdev1 *
You will get with liblockdev1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
