libkopete-dev software package provides development files for the Kopete instant messaging and chat application, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libkopete-dev
libkopete-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libkopete-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libkopete-dev *
You will get with libkopete-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
