libjpeg-turbo-progs software package provides Programs for manipulating JPEG files, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libjpeg-turbo-progs
libjpeg-turbo-progs is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libjpeg-turbo-progs package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libjpeg-turbo-progs *
You will get with libjpeg-turbo-progs package name, version, architecture and description in a table
