libixp-dev software package provides simple 9P client-/server-library (development), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libixp-dev
libixp-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libixp-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libixp-dev *
You will get with libixp-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
