How to uninstall or remove libiodbc2-dev software package from Debian 8 (Jessie)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libiodbc2-dev package itself from Debian 8 (Jessie) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libiodbc2-dev 

Uninstall libiodbc2-dev including dependent package

If you would like to remove libiodbc2-dev and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libiodbc2-dev 
Use Purging libiodbc2-dev

If you use with purge options to libiodbc2-dev package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libiodbc2-dev 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libiodbc2-dev
