How to uninstall or remove libio-compress-bzip2-perl software package from Debian 8 (Jessie)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libio-compress-bzip2-perl package itself from Debian 8 (Jessie) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libio-compress-bzip2-perl

Uninstall libio-compress-bzip2-perl including dependent package

If you would like to remove libio-compress-bzip2-perl and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libio-compress-bzip2-perl
Use Purging libio-compress-bzip2-perl

If you use with purge options to libio-compress-bzip2-perl package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libio-compress-bzip2-perl

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libio-compress-bzip2-perl
