libical-parser-perl software package provides module to parse iCalendar files into a data structure, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libical-parser-perl
libical-parser-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libical-parser-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libical-parser-perl *
You will get with libical-parser-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
