libi18n-charset-perl software package provides Perl module for mapping character set names to IANA names, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libi18n-charset-perl
libi18n-charset-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libi18n-charset-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libi18n-charset-perl *
You will get with libi18n-charset-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
