libhesiod-dev software package provides Project Athenas DNS-based directory service - development files, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libhesiod-dev
libhesiod-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libhesiod-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libhesiod-dev *
You will get with libhesiod-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
