libgsm1-dbg software package provides Shared libraries for GSM speech compressor (debug symbols), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgsm1-dbg
libgsm1-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgsm1-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgsm1-dbg *
You will get with libgsm1-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
