libgphoto2-2-dev software package provides gphoto2 digital camera library (transitional package), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgphoto2-2-dev
libgphoto2-2-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgphoto2-2-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgphoto2-2-dev *
You will get with libgphoto2-2-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
