libgmt4 software package provides Generic Mapping Tools Library, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgmt4
libgmt4 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgmt4 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgmt4 *
You will get with libgmt4 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
