How to uninstall or remove libghc-hostname-dev-1.0-fb4bb software package from Debian 8 (Jessie)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libghc-hostname-dev-1.0-fb4bb package itself from Debian 8 (Jessie) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libghc-hostname-dev-1.0-fb4bb

Uninstall libghc-hostname-dev-1.0-fb4bb including dependent package

If you would like to remove libghc-hostname-dev-1.0-fb4bb and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libghc-hostname-dev-1.0-fb4bb

Use Purging libghc-hostname-dev-1.0-fb4bb

If you use with purge options to libghc-hostname-dev-1.0-fb4bb package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libghc-hostname-dev-1.0-fb4bb

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libghc-hostname-dev-1.0-fb4bb
