How to uninstall or remove libghc-ghc-mtl-dev-1.0.1.2-eae software package from Debian 8 (Jessie)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libghc-ghc-mtl-dev-1.0.1.2-eae package itself from Debian 8 (Jessie) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libghc-ghc-mtl-dev-1.0.1.2-eae

Uninstall libghc-ghc-mtl-dev-1.0.1.2-eae including dependent package

If you would like to remove libghc-ghc-mtl-dev-1.0.1.2-eae and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libghc-ghc-mtl-dev-1.0.1.2-eae
Use Purging libghc-ghc-mtl-dev-1.0.1.2-eae

If you use with purge options to libghc-ghc-mtl-dev-1.0.1.2-eae package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libghc-ghc-mtl-dev-1.0.1.2-eae

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libghc-ghc-mtl-dev-1.0.1.2-eae
