How to uninstall or remove libghc-editline-dev-0.2.1.1-db software package from Debian 8 (Jessie)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libghc-editline-dev-0.2.1.1-db package itself from Debian 8 (Jessie) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libghc-editline-dev-0.2.1.1-db

Uninstall libghc-editline-dev-0.2.1.1-db including dependent package

If you would like to remove libghc-editline-dev-0.2.1.1-db and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libghc-editline-dev-0.2.1.1-db

Use Purging libghc-editline-dev-0.2.1.1-db

If you use with purge options to libghc-editline-dev-0.2.1.1-db package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libghc-editline-dev-0.2.1.1-db

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libghc-editline-dev-0.2.1.1-db
